Abstract

Properly lower incisor position is very important in orthodontic treatment. Race, age, sex, facial type and lips influence incisor position. Cephalometric standards refering to lower incisor has been found to in an ideal occlusion population. Values could be applied to spanish population. Correlation between sex, facial type and lower incisor position has also been analyzed. Sex influences more lower incisor than facial type. There is little relationship between maxillar position and upper incisor, due to sagital and vertical compensations to achieve normal occlusion.
