Resum

Nowadays there are two main ways of correcting deep bite: reverse curve of Spee arch and untility arch from Ricketts. There are some controversies about the outcomes obtained with both techniques and about wich one is most useful. In the present study are described the effects of Ricketts technique. A 58 individuals sample (26° and 32º) with Class II, div. 1 malocclusion has been analysed. The conclusions are: there is true incisor intrusion and molar extrusion with no relationship with vertical dimension.
