Résumé
Since march 1989 we are introducing negative intraocular lenses in the anterior chambers of patients with elevated myopia. Previously we selected our candidates under certain requirements that later We enumerate. Actually our study group is lo eyes with an evolution following period of 15 months in the first case. The myopia corrected oscillated between -11.00 and -18.25 diopters and the refractive postoperatory results are in the range of + 1.37 and -3.5 diopters. Among the complications in our experience there are 2 filtering blebs, 2 hypermetropizations and one case with pseudoexfoliation. At the moment we are not prepared to make any definitive conclusion but our results may be orientative for those ophthalmologist planning on starting this technic.
