The Cambrian deposits in the margin southwest of Gondwana began with siliciclastic and scattered carbonates series. The paleontological record is represented with icnofossils, small shelly fossils and acritarcs. The lower levels are dated as Upper Alcudian (Nemakit-Daldynian) and the upper ones as Cordubian (Tommotian). The overlied terrigenous-carbonate series have paleontological record with trilobites and archaeocyaths. The sedimentological and paleontological aspects of these Cambrian series are different in the several areas of the shallow platform. The age of these series is from Ovetian (Atdabanian) to Bilbilian (Toyonian). This paper synthesise the stratigraphic series with archaeocyathan record in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and Morocco.
