Abstract

The Upper Cretaceous fossil site of Lo Hueco (Fuentes, Cuenca) is relatively well known because has yielded a large number of well-preserved fossils of continental vertebrates, which are providing numerous contributions to knowledge about the finicretaceous biota from southwestern Europe. Due to the conditions of its discovery and excavation, as well as its rapid incorporation to several museum projects and outreach, the site also provides a good example for the analysis of the projection of paleontological heritage in society and their use as a cultural resource.
