Résumé

A methodology for the study and mapping of coastal hazards (scale 1:25.000) is presented. It is based on the analysis of the potentially hazardous coastal processes (flooding, erosion, sea level, tsunamis, stream flooding and slope movements), the study of the factors involved (geomorphology, coastal processes, historical hazards and human actions) and their evaluation in order to carry out the corresponding maps. A useful representation for the recognition of the potential coastal hazards is proposed. Based on this methodology maps providing relevant information for spatial planning and risk prevention can be obtained.
