Zusammenfassung

The iconography surrounding Celestina has become one of the favourites topics of the current celestinesque scholarship. Digital repositories such as CelestinaVisual.org or the recent studies by Raúl Álvarez Moreno, Ana Isabel Montero, Enrique Fernández Rivera, or Amaranta Saguar García evidence the interest in the illustrations of the older editions of Celestina. However, the great number of illustrated editions, the dispersion of the surviving copies over Europe and America, and the particular editorial history of the work result in the global study of the woodcuts not having been addressed until now. With the purpose of developing a digital tool for this task, in the next pages I will examine which requisites such a project needs to fulfill (focusing on metadata standards), which objectives it has to meet (from the perspectives of Philology, History of the Book, and History of Art), and which existing technologies and standards are at our disposal (above all, controlled vocabularies and software).
