Abstract
A study to consider the effeets of increasing levéis of nitrogenous fertilizer on the composition of nitrogen fraction of ray-grass Westerwold was carried out. Four levéis of N were applied: 0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha/cut. The application of fertilizer caused a rise in the concentrations of total N, protein N and non protein N. The total N content increased from 1.87 to 2.78 %, from 1.31 to 2.55 % and from 1.38 to 3.02 %, respectively, for each three cuts given. The nitrate content showed no marked difference among treatments
