Resumen

The literary texts that have reached us through the so-called indirect tradition present specific problems of transmission, fixation and valutation. Among them, those transmitted by scholarly sources (lexicographers, paroemiographers and scholia above all) pose special problems, since the circumstances of their transmission are special, and this reason has made them particularly susceptible to the introduction of textual problems and authorship problems. The Greek paroemiographical and lexicographical collections that have reached us are summaries of summaries of earlier more complete and comprehensive works, and that process of successive summaries has significantly reduced (and sometimes distorted) the original information, so that many data have been lost and many texts have been corrupted. In our contribution we study some specific problems, illustrating them with concrete examples.
