Résumé

Short appraisal of the recent contributions of comparative studies to the expansion of the knowledge field proper to classical philology. This potential is displayed along two axes: from an inter-temporal point of view, the interpretation of current trends through philological expertise and, from an inter-cultural point of view, the new horizons opened by the comparison between classical periods both in the East and the West.
