Zusammenfassung

The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationships between Science and Literature. On the one hand, the view of Science as Literature, characteristic of the Sociology of Scientific Knowledge and Cultural Studies, is studied. On the other hand, the conception of Literature as a Science is approached, as developed by Jesús G. Maestro in his project of a Crítica de la Razón Literaria. In particular, the article discusses whether Literary Theory can be considered as the Science of Literature from the philosophical tenets of Gustavo Bueno’s Theory of Categorical Closure.
