Laburpena

Based on the analysis of the novel Zama (Antonio di Benedetto 1957) and its adaptation to the cinema (Lucrecia Martel 2017), this paper addresses some of the most recurrent textual transformations in the filmic rewriting of literary texts. In general terms, rewriting can involve three different operations: the omission of an element from the filmic text, the incorporation of it, and the invention of an original element. This paper will focus on the textual formulations involved in the second of these operations. Our purpose is to initiate a line of research on cinematographic discourse, which has received little attention from linguistics until now and, specifically, from Spanish linguistics.
