Résumé

A new proposed model to determine the land use scenarios on the coastal shire of Granada is the main objective of the following research. The initial phase is based on a bibliographic revision of different models concerning land use changes. Even they are related to different areas and objectives, most of them follow a common methodological scheme. However, on the basis of those analysed models and using a GIS as main tool, we present here the general structure of a proposed model for the coastal shire of Granada. It includes the digitalisation and analysis of land use evolution in the latest decades (1956-1999), the identifi cation of the main factors concerning landscape dynamics and the key elements to describe territorial development scenarios.
