This paper analyses the psychological and physiological factors related to death and cardiorespiratory arrest. The patient is provided with a psychological protocol of verbal stimulation during his/her resucitation. Preliminary data are presented about the efficiency of this intervention with 30 subjects who had an extra-hospital cardiac arrest. Results show that there is a need to increase the number of subjects in the study sample.
