Resumen

Como lidar com uma pandemia? Este artigo estuda as estruturas interpretativas utilizadas pelos presidentes da Argentina, Brasil, Chile e México para explicar Covid-19, com o objetivo de caracterizar e comparar estratégias discursivas. Para tanto, foram identificadas três dimensões de análise: a concepção de Estado, a representação das lideranças e os princípios normativos promovidos. A conclusão é que as diferenças se devem tanto a fatores ideológicos quanto à disponibilidade de recursos.
