Abstract

Spain is a country with a long tradition in the use of groundwater and has a prestigious school of hydrogeologists with worldwide recognition. At an early stage (until the seventies of the last century) as usual, there was no academic education at the University. Education in hydrogeology was acquired by mean of external courses to university or stays and courses outside Spain. From that time until today, the issue has changed dramatically in both the traditional and the Polytechnic University. At least graduates Sciences or Technical Schools receive 6 credits in hydrogeology. The qualification of hydrogeologist is acquired by mean of specialized courses and monographic master. In Spain, there is an offer that includes a few masters of the hydrogeological marked character. Highlights among them the International Course offer for already 49 editions by the International Groundwater Hydrology Course. Knowledgement today also involves online courses that can be taken online, as well as books, notes, power points, etc. appearing on the network. Some of them are of extraordinary quality.
