Abstract
This paper will show the information status of urban archaeological management in World Heritage throughthe network, taking as a particular case the cities of Paris, Cesky Krumlov and Oaxaca, which are studied in aresearch project. The information gathering was done for at least three levels. But, what happens when we want to obtain very detailed information on Archaeological Letters, previous reports, historical documentation, previous interventions and reports thereof, various maps, technical literature, etc..?That is, is it possible to get all kinds of archaeological management information from the network? If this is notaccessible, the urban archaeological dimension in these cities cannot be understood and nor does the knowledgeand quality of its management, because it lacks the last level: scientific information. What is the point of researching then? Does a World Heritage inscription imply a greater transparency in information? and finally, is public access to this level without any filters regulating the collection of information a need?
