Abstract

A class of 70 freshmen in General Geology has been practicing with an interactive simulation computer program from April through June 1988. contrasted with other class that did not underwent the experience, the group's academic resultas are similar concerning to knowledge. Instructors have nevertheless felt the deep involvement of most students in the experience, what is enough to make it highly commendable in an academic system dominated by students passivity.
