Abstract
Technology has become the great totem of our era. Immediacy, comfort, automation, the whole universe surrounding the word "technology" refers to the essence of progress. Andoni Alonso and Iñaki Arzoz seek, against the grain of their time and with great acuteness, to decrystallize this apologetic discourse of technological revolutions. Their book is the subject of this review.
