Abstract
The development of a domain ontology for the Greek and Latin literature representation in the form of linked data is described. The principles of the Semantic Web and the semantic diffusion of contents applied to classical Greek-Latin literature are analyzed. The essence of the Methontology methodology has been adapted for the construction of ontologies and a formalized linguistic resource has been implemented. The result of this research has been the development of a pilot project of linked data based on the principles and technologies of Linked Open Data (LOD) in the field of comparative literature, in which the Litcomp ontology has been developed to improve the study of the influence and preservation of Greek and Latin literature.
