Abstract

Attitudes towards people with disabilities are a basic aspect for professionals working in this field of expertise, and dealing with aspects as rehabilitation, and social, educational and labor integration. The objective of this study is to establish the differences and evolution of the attitudes among students in first and fourth year of The Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). The study was conducted based on Escala de Actitudes hacia las personas con discapacidad (Verdugo, Jenaro, & Arias, 1995), and applied to a focus group of university students from first and fourth year studying speech therapy. The results showed a positive evaluation towards people with disabilities and the working process around them.
