Abstract

This study offers an analysis of how the rhetoric actio works in T. Livys account on the entry of the Gauls in the city of Rome, the slaughter of the senators and the formers attempt to assault the Capitol. Livys artistic narrative takes the reader to the scene of action making him a spectator. Knowing how to say things, the way Titus Livy does, equals making the reader see.
