Consumer protection is extended to digital contracting, Directive 2019/770 of the Parliament and the Council of 20 May 2019 on certain aspects of contracts for the supply of digital content and services assures a higher protection level to consumers. These new measures are based on the imposition of information duties for professionals, the right of withdrawal for consumers and certain legal remedies for the lack of conformity of digital contents. As personal data is provided by consumers, the treatment of this information shall be in coherence with GDPR framework
