Abstract

We present a preview to the study of the schematic graphic expressions (paintings and engravings) located in the Cave - Chasm of Castillejo del Bonete. The association between a natural hypogea structure and a complicated artificial lift in the upper area, make the set that we present a unique case in the Iberian Peninsula. On the other hand, the association of these graphic expressions with funerary deposits and their probable chronology within the III Millennium cal. BC reiterate well documented ritual gestures in Iberian funerary contexts.
