Abstract

The Society of Jesus Library at the San Esteban School in Murcia is being reconstructed. A work plan has been developed in order to identify and classify titles and editions, based on a study of the inventory of the librarys collection drawn up when the Jesuits were expelled on the orders of Carlos III in 1767. Using this methodology, an inventory catalogue has been drawn up, based on the information provided by the original inventory on the books and their bibliographical descriptions, which deals with the teachings habitually imparted in the Orders schools, in accordance with the Jesuit system of education.
