Abstract

The trade was one of the engines on which the important economic boom that Rome had in the period between the end of the Republic and the beginning of the Empire developed. All the Mediterranean and Europe there are numerous testimonies of these commercial activities distributed by different archaeological sites. But, without a doubt, the port and administrative facilities of Ostia Antica and the different types of commercial and business premises documented in Pompeii, continue to this day to be essential to know these commercial and economic activities
