Una Iglesia bajo patronato real: la construcción de la fiscalidad eclesiástica en el Reino de Granada (1487-1526)

Résumé

In this thesis, we will analyse how, after the Conquest, and later on with the matter of the conversions, the Catholic Monarchs conceived of a Church that was subject to the monetary injections of the Crown. From the year 1504 on, the project failed. Our aim is to establish how and why this happened, and finally integrate this model into a wider interpretative frame. In order to accomplish this, numerous primary sources were consulted which remained unpublished to date. Most of them come from the General Archive of Simancas, which provides a comprehensive overview. Let us now describe one by one the sections consulted in this castle on the banks of the Pisuerga river.
