Abstract

Emotions play a very important role in student learning. Ignoring this fact is one of the factors that leads to many problems, such as school failure, lack of motivation or behaviour problems. In this work the presence of emotions is analysed in the study of ecosystems and trophic chains in students of 1st year at High School. The results obtained reflect that emotions are present in the learning of food chains. Negative emotions predominate, especially towards the level of decomposers. These perceptions present the teacher with the challenge of transmitting the contents in such a way that all the components of the food chain are valued, and in this way, educated citizens who are aware of and respectful of the ecosystem.
