Abstract

The term “quality of life” suggests a philosophical connotation of well-being and satisfaction in various respects related with a personal criterium and social standards. On the other hand, the concept of health-related quality of life (HRQoL), or perceived health, has an specific meaning restricted to experience and expectations related with the health status and socio-health care. Interest for HRQoL in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients is recent. In fact, in the past years a progressive interest in the measurement of HRQoL of MS patients and caregivers has developed. This revision will refer to the importance of determining the HRQoL of MS patients, and review the most frequently used measurement instruments
