The digital journalist is first of all a journalist, independent from mass media thatused to spread the information that the public should know. Journalism andjournalist are terms that allude to a similar professional reality. That is thereason why we shouldvit fall into the mistake of conceiving the different kinds ofjournalism and journalists upon the field that they covered or the king of massmedia that is usedby them. Nevertheless, it seems clear that in order to informwell, about specific topics, a certain grade of knowledge and skills should berequired, not only by the specific mass media used, but also by the users ofdigital journalism.
