Résumé

We have characterized eye movement in students of first and last Geology degree course when observing a lands- cape from a geological point of view, by using an eye-tracking technology. Contrarily to the expected outcome, results were similar in both groups, yet they have allowed us to conclude that eye-tracking can be used to assess the learning process of students through the degree. Information obtained with this methodology could be used to ascertain the most efficient way to observe a geological scene and to improve geology teaching.
