Abstract

Through this research we analyzed the artistic production generated within the Colombian armed conflict, that is why first we will make an historical review from 1948 to our days. For the analysis we use Didi Huberman, Foucault and Joelet’s ideas and theories, which support the relevance of the historic memory. We also approach authors like Adorno, Benjamin and Todorov, who develop concepts related with war devastation, thus we analyze the notions of armed conflict, violence, and victim. Within this frame, we can appreciate that there is the necessity for a new reading of Colombian history that enables a better comprehension of the current conflictive situation.Likewise, we study the violent realities of the Colombian conflict victims and their development and transformation, which influence the whole society. We want to analyze the roll of the arts and the image archives within the Colombian conflict as a record of the historical memory. This record influences the imaginary of the victims and the way in which such imaginary evolves and complement the artistic production during the conflict, thus enables the construction of spaces of memory...
