Abstract
Equine dentistry is an extense field within equine medicine and surgery that has recently undergone an extraordinary development thanks to the advances of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Radiology was the classical imaging modality for evaluating the equine teeth, however, the recent introduction of advanced imaging techniques in the equine practice has allowed to adapt them for the study of the horse's head, becoming currently routine diagnostic methods. This review article makes a practica! approach of the basis and indications of the different imaging modalities available in equine dentistry.
