Abstract

Broadcasting live radio programs, podcast production, short films, and blogs are inclusive communication processes that use hybrid technologies and promote the participation of people with intellectual disabilities in the life of their community. The experience carried out by Pintor Rosales Occupational Center in Madrid is an innovative participation initiative that successfully combines new technologies with traditional media. This article studies the evolution carried out since the first experiences in 2016, through the live broadcast of the radio program «Échale Papas», on Radio Almenara —now in its sixth season and which can also be heard via podcast in the blog of the program, until the recent premiere of the short film «Tras la Puerta» in June 2021, presented at the XX Dramatic Expression Contest for centers for people with disabilities of Madrid City Council. That year, due to the health limitations of the Covid-19 pandemic, was convened in audiovisual format.
