Abstract
A geodynamic model is presented for the northern boundary of the Caribbean plate, which allows to explain rheologic characteristics and seismicity. The model includes four tectonic blocks (Swan, Gonave, Eastern Cuba and Dominican - Puerto Rico) which depend on the interaction of the North America and Caribbean plates.
