Résumé

Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous unit that predominantly affects the facial region. It can alter the patient's quality of life to a great extent. It is one of the most common dermatological diseases and is responsible for a significant number of medical consultations. Acne is classified as comedonal, mild or moderate papulopustular, severe papulopustular, moderate nodular, or severe nodulocystic acne or acne with a tendency toward scarring. Treatments are available which can control its symptoms and long-term effects. This work discusses useful diagnostic and treatment protocols for the proper management of the disease by the physician.
