Abstract

The Hour of the Wolf (1968) is analyzed as one of the key pieces in Bergman's filmic evolution, regarding the use of sound narrative: in this paper we explain the way music, noise and vocal nuances are used by the director as the main tools to structure and graduate the metaphorical enunciation of the story.
