Resumen

With this article, we propose to analyse the types of social networks in the evolution of tourism with particularity in the last two decades. A qualitative longitudinal bibliographic study of the defined themes and crossing of the obtained results was carried out. We concluded the analysis with a quantitative assessment of the evolution in the number of tourists and in travel and tourism revenues in specialized magazines. The results, based on bibliographic analysis (until 2020) and consulted graphs (1996-2017), led to an increase in the number of tourists and to the evolution of travel and tourism revenues, although with a slight nonsignificant drop in 2018. But we cannot confirm a reality that is totally different from what we expected. The significantly increasing curve at the time of the study’s fundamentals (2017) is reversed without a predicted recovery date, which caused the ban on tourism nationally and internationally.
