Abstract

The management of the integral development of historic centers is a notion that began to be developed fifty years ago; however, its practical application began decades later and has not yet been generalized. This article proposes an approach to the subject from theory and praxis, fundamentally regional, where those indispensable elements are exposed, which must be present in the responsible and ethical approach to the development of the most strategic place of the city, its historical center, and by extension, the traditional central zone. The management of the cultural heritage of Puebla de los Ángeles is specifically addressed, with particular emphasis on the treatment of the archaeological assets of the city
