Laburpena

Archaeology book reviews have not received much attention and its number is decreasing in magazines, considering the exponential increase in what is published. A brief analysis on the review historiography is carried out as an art that has come to less; an anatomical identification of its parts and the categories of reviews are provided, and we make a plea on the critical and even heterodox review. The problems of its publication in the digital age and the academic pressure to multiply the reviews of the same book are considered. Finally, we offer strong arguments to continue writing archaeological reviews.
