Validación de la Escala de Evaluación General de la Personalidad (OPERAS) en Estudiantes Universitarios Chilenos

Resumen

El objetivo de esta investigación es adaptar y validar la Escala de Personalidad de los Cinco Grandes OPERAS (Vigil-Colet et al., 2013a) en dos muestras independientes de seis universidades de Chile (validación cruzada): N=444, 74.5% de mujeres de 20.33 años y N=466, 76.0% de mujeres de 19.18 años. La evidencia de validez interna indica la presencia de cinco factores de personalidad que explican 42.9% y 41.9% de la varianza total con adecuados valores de consistencia interna (.67 y .84). Los rasgos presentan correlaciones medias-altas con medidas de resiliencia, autoeficacia y estrés académico (evidencia de validez convergente) y bajas con motivación (evidencia de validez discriminante). Todos los resultados se obtuvieron controlando la deseabilidad social y aquiescencia. Además, se ofrecen los baremos de la prueba para ambos sexos. En conclusión, el OPERAS es un instrumento adecuado para la población universitaria chilena desde el punto de vista psicométrico.
