Abstract
The women participation in the war, either directly, like The Malinche, or indirectly, delivery of captive princesses as presents to the conquerors, it has been a topic treated in depth, being the indigenous woman the main focus of attention, leaving the Spanish relegated to a second place in the studies. The present work is trying to understand the reasons that took to the Castilian Crown to prevent the passage to the Indies of many Spanish women, as well as why they don’t appear in the chronicles of the moment. In addition, and due to this lack of contemporary sources to find information about these women, we will try to complete the biographies of these two women, Maria de Estrada and Ines Suarez, both known in the countries where they fought but not in the one their homeland.
