Steiner vector bundles on algebraic varieties

We define Steiner vector bundles on algebraic varieties, generalising the well-known Steiner vector bundles on projective spaces, We characterise exceptional and simple general Steiner vector bundles and we prone the stability of exceptional Steiner vector bundles defined by a pair (Ox(-1), Ox), where x is a smooth projective hypersurface q degree d, 1¿d¿n-1. We give sufficient cohomological conditions for a vector bundle to be a Steiner vector bundle and we give complete cohomological characterisation of some bundles on a projective spaces and on the hyperquadric Qn c Pn+1
