Abstract
This paper analyses from a critical perspective the proposed regulation of certain specific proceedings in the Draft of a new Spanish Code of Criminal Procedure of 2020. Firstly, a general presentation of Book VIII of the Draft is made, which also identifies the specific proceedings currently in force that would have to disappear with the new regulation or whose regulation would have to be left out of the legal text. Afterwards, the study focuses on the procedure for private offences, the procedure against persons with privileged status, the autonomous confiscation procedure and, especially, the trial for minor offences.
