Resum

In an attempt to control the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Spanish government declared a period of strict confinement measures that affected significantly on living habits. Knowledge of whether people had changed their dietary habits, or if they had maintained adequate levels of exercise during the lockdown is important information when determining health and social policies since these changes can lead to medium or long term physical and emotional problems. The main aim was to validate a scale that evaluates the changes in lifestyle during the period of strict lockdown resulting from COVID-19 A Likert type pilot scale was designed, comprising 19 multiple-choice questions. A total of 48 questionnaires were completedMaking use of the Pearson Correlation Index, 3 questions with an index of <0.2 were removed. By analysing internal consistency, values of consistency <1 were discounted, thus removing 4 more questions.Ultimately a scale of 12 questions was obtained, whose Cronbach’s alpha (0.87) indicated high reliability and ensures a valid and reliable measurement of lifestyle changes produced during strict lockdown.
