Abstract
The use of practical classes in degrees of Social Sciences is a perfect instrument to increase students’motivation. Practical classes can be used to show different ways in which the explained theorycan be applied to the reality students will face once they start their professional career. The communicationhas two main aims: on one side, to get deeper knowledge on the link between practical classesand students motivation and, on the other, look into the perception of students about the need and usefulnessof practical classes, as well as the assessment they give to practices carried out in class and inwhich different degrees of involvement are required on their part.
