Abstract

This paper addresses the attributes of the character’s dramaturgy and acting in the work of the German director Susanne Kennedy. This artist’s poetics traverses the territories of intermediality, with significant influence from the plastic arts, videogame aesthetics, and the technologies of immersive theater. Starting from a contextualization of Kennedy’s career, the dramaturgical basis of her poetics is studied and contrasted in one of her referential productions: Why Does Herr R. Run Amok? In it, Kennedy’s stage poetics is consolidated, integrating a combination of extreme performance with the use of audiovisual technology, which is intrinsic to her dramaturgical claims.
