Abstract

In this paper we present the relations maintained between phenomena organized by the finite limit of a sequence, and elementary and advanced mathematical thinking. We believe that these relations are important for the development of a sequence of teaching and learning that addresses the study of finite limit of a sequence. Relations maintained between the above phenomena and the elements of elementary and advanced mathematical thinking will be addressed by establishing a sequence of steps in order of increasing difficulty to allow the construction of the concept definition of limit. To get it we note the importance of the concept image and the image proof of the finite limit of a sequence.
