Abstract

The feeding behaviour of pigs depending on their age and gender is different, as are their zootechnical yields as well as carcass and meat quality. The effect of castration has an effect on both energy and protein metabolism in both males and females. Carrying out a precision feeding in inmunocastrated pigs, males and females, modulating the nutrient ratio based on these considerations, will allow us to have a greater use of nutrients with savings in nutrition programs, in addition to better adjusting both the yields of carcasses -noble pieces (ham, shoulder, loin) and meat quality.
