Abstract
Social research on the uses and gratifications they receive from the Internet and over 65 years. This research seeks to understand why the so-called 'digital divide' between generations that use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and those without, mainly the Internet. Many documents testify that the digital divide is a phenomenon and this research aims to contribute to reduction because people over 65 are active in society and should have equal opportunities to access the Internet than younger citizens. With this research project will discover the profile of more connected to the network, which uses made of it, and what are their personal benefit.
